At the beginning of 2018, Sabater, in its commitment to reduce our carbon footprint, established different lines of collaboration for the development of carbon absorption projects in forest sinks and the business development of compensation mechanisms.
In the fight against climate change and reinforcing our policy of responsibility towards the environment, the entire Sabater team wanted to contribute our grain of sand in mitigating climate change. That is why we formed the “green tide” of Sabater led by D. José Sabater for the creation of a forest carbon sink in the Diputación de Nogalte (Lorca).
This activity consisted of a day of coexistence to share experiences in the fight against climate change and in defense of the environment. More than 40 volunteers participated in the planting of specimens of Aleppo pine (Pinus halepensis) and stone pine (Pinus pinea) promoted within the framework of the LIFE FOREST CO2 project.
The day was a complete success, spending a great day with the family learning about the environment and our surroundings. Once the day was over, we were able to enjoy a convivial lunch where we could sample Mediterranean cuisine.
